Pathway to Policing

Interested in a career in policing? Thebarton Senior College has partnered with South Australia Police to offer the Pathway to Policing Program.

Thebarton Senior College is a senior specialist secondary school located just outside of Adelaide. The college serves a diverse student population aged mainly between 16-25 years.

This program will provide year 12 students with the opportunity to undertake studies as a career pathway to join the South Australia Police as a police officer, police security officer or other policing roles. The program will focus on skills essential for policing - interpersonal skills; critical thinking; and problem solving.

Coursework will be comprised of five SACE Stage 2 subjects, including a research project, information processing and publishing, essential English, workplace practices; and fitness and wellbeing.

The program is currently taking applications and is expected to commence in 2024.
