Changes to our entry requirements

SA Police are always recruiting and are currently seeking applications, especially from people aged between 18 and 20. To assist, we have recently made some changes to entry requirements for police officers and protective security officers.

If you are a school leaver, you no longer have to wait until you are 18 to sit the SA Police Recruitment Test conducted by TAFE SA.

If you are 17 years old you can now undertake the test in readiness for submitting your application when you turn 18.

This test covers the minimum requirements for reading, numeracy, literacy and computer competency.

If you hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an Australian university (recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework), you do not need to complete the recruitment test before submitting your application.
