With the fire danger season well and truly under way, police are focusing their efforts on our response to the threat of bushfires through Operation NOMAD.
South Australia Police today (9 June) released its first podcast, using the medium to tell the tragic story of the death of Nicholas Holbrook, who died in a road crash on West Lakes Boulevard in 2009.
Nearly 21 years after her death, Heather Turner’s best friend has a simple message for a group of people SA Police believe have not told the full truth about the teenager’s murder: “It’s time to stand up and make a difference.”
The following are media releases, photographs and press conferences relating to the discovery of a child's skeletal remains near the Karoonda Highway about 2kms west of Wynarka in the Murray Mallee region. The remains were located by a member of the public on 14 July 2015, with police advised early 15 July.
The child has been identified as Khandalyce Kiara Pearce, born in Alice Springs in 2006.
