Wanted child sex offenders

The wanted child sex offenders list provides information about registered child sex offenders who:

• have failed to report to the police as required or
• provided false or misleading information to the police and
• whose whereabouts are unknown.

This information includes photographs of offenders, their full name and date of birth. The purpose is to:

• find those offenders listed
• keep the community informed.

Information on this site is published pursuant to Section 66F of the Child Sex Offenders Registration Act 2006 ('The Act').

Child Sex Offenders Registration Act

The Act aims to protect children from sexual predators by requiring certain persons who may have a propensity to commit sexual offences against children to keep the Commissioner of Police informed of their whereabouts and other personal details for a nominated period of time.

The aim is to:

• reduce the risk of child sex offences being committed
• facilitate the investigation and prosecution of any child sex offences
• prevent child sex offenders from working with children.

Misuse of this information

Be aware that under the Child Sex Offenders Registration Act 2006 it is a criminal offence to misuse the information on this website.

It is an offence to:

• Publish, distribute or display any photographs or personal details published by this site, without prior written approval of the minister.
• It is also an offence to engage in conduct that is intended or likely to create, promote or increase animosity towards, or harassment of, a registrable offender identified by this information, or a person associated with them.

Anyone found guilty of an offence against this Act is liable to up to 10 years imprisonment.
