Suspect sought over assault at Elizabeth Grove

About 7.10pm on Friday 31 July, a woman was walking north along Haydown Road, Eliabeth Grove, just north of Hogarth Road, when she turned around to see an unknown man running towards her.  He grabbed her by the arm before she managed to break free.

She ran off along Sampson Road and sought assistance from bystanders before running home and alerting police.

The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a man of Aboriginal appearance, aged in his 20s, approximately 170 cm tall, with a slim build.  He has a moustache with stubble and dark hair.  He was wearing a grey jacket with the hood up and black tracksuit pants.

Police have compiled a computer-generated image of the suspect in a bid to identify him.
