Arrest made over serious assault at Salisbury North

A man has been arrested following an investigation into a serious assault last month.

Just before 12.30pm on Friday 17 July, police were called to a home on Bedwin Street, Salisbury North after reports a man had been slashed in the face with a bladed weapon.

The 36-year-old sustained serious facial injuries and was rushed to hospital.

As a result of ongoing enquiries by Northern District police, an 18-year-old man from Ingle Farm was arrested on Saturday 1 August over the alleged assault and charged with aggravated assault cause serious harm.

His bail was refused and it is expected he will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today, Monday 3 August.

The investigation is ongoing.
