House fire at Netherby

Police and fire crews were called to Netherby Avenue at 10.10pm on Monday 22 August to reports of a house fire and found the dwelling fully ablaze.

The occupants were home at the time of the fire. Seven people self-evacuated from the address and fire firefighters reported rescuing a dog from the blaze.

Luckily there were no reports of any injuries.

MFS brought the fire under control however major damage has been caused to the property.

Fullerton Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

The cause of fire is unknown at this stage and fire cause investigators will attend the scene this morning.
