Drink driver caught at Tailem Bend

A man has been detected more than three times over the legal limit on the Princes Highway.

About 3.20am Tuesday 30 April, police responded to reports of poor driving on the Princes Highway and located a white Holden Commodore. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, a 24-year-old man from South Australia. The man submitted to a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.187.

Licence checks revealed the man was disqualified from driving.

The man was arrested for drink driving and driving whilst disqualified. He will be prevented from holding a licence for an additional twelve month period and his car has been impounded. He will face the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later time.
