A driver has lost his licence after he was caught speeding on the Yorke Peninsula yesterday

Just before 5pm on Saturday 4 July, Port Wakefield patrols detected a Holden sedan travelling at 160 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on the Copper Coast Highway, South Hummocks.

Police stopped the vehicle, and the driver, a 26-year-old North Moonta man, was reported for driving at an excessive speed and issued with a six-month loss of licence.

His vehicle was impounded for 28 days, and he will appear at Kadina Magistrates Court at a future date.
