Youth arrested after break-in at Allenby Gardens

Police have arrested a youth following a break-in at a group of businesses at Allenby Gardens early yesterday morning.

Police were called to Grange Road about 12.10am on Sunday 7 April following alarm activations at a group of shops.

When police arrived, officers discovered three businesses had been broken into and witnesses reported seeing three males run from the scene.

Western District police quickly searched the area and arrested a boy nearby.

A 14-year-old boy from Burton was arrested and charged with three counts of serious criminal trespass and three counts of theft. He was refused police bail and appeared in the Adelaide Youth Court today.

Police investigations are continuing into the two outstanding suspects.
