Man arrested for a pharmacy robbery in the Western suburbs

A Beverley man has been charged with robbery.

Just before 5pm on Monday 3 August, police swiftly responded to a pharmacy on South Road, Mile End, following reports of a man demanding prescription medication.

Fortunately, staff were not physically injured during the incident.

The suspect left the store with a quantity of prescription medication.

Police tracked and located the suspect nearby to Sir Donald Bradman Drive, Hilton where he was arrested without incident.

The medication was recovered.

The 31-year-old Beverley man was charged with theft using force and was refused bail.

He is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
