Stolen car spotted after police investigate break-in

About 3.20am today Tuesday 4 August, police were called to a property on The Esplanade, Hove to reports of an alarm activation.

Police were quickly in attendance finding a sliding door of the property had been forced open.

A number of police were in attendance when a patrol spotted a stolen silver Lexus sedan nearby on Downing Street.

Police attempted to stop the car where it accelerated off from police towards Whyte Street.

Police tracked the Lexus onto Sturt Road, and it was last spotted travelling south on Morphett Road.

Checks on the Lexus show that it had been stolen from a Brighton property last month.
