A provisional driver has been reported for traffic offences after travelling at excessive speed on Sunday evening.
About 6.20pm on Sunday 16 August, police conducting speed detection duties on the Port River Expressway detected a Lexus sedan travelling at 160km/h in a 90km/h zone.
The car was stopped soon after the Port River Expressway at Gillman.
The driver, a 21-year-old man and Provisional 2 licence holder from Salisbury Heights was reported for excessive speed and breaching conditions of his license
He was issued with an six month immediate loss of licence notice and the car was impounded for 28 days.
He will attend court at a later date.
