A driver has been reported for speeding after he was detected almost 60km/h over the limit at Dry Creek yesterday.
Just after 3.30pm Sunday 16 August, Police were conducting speed detection duties on the Port River Expressway when they detected a Holden sedan travelling at 147km/h in a 90km/h zone.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver, submitted to a roadside drug test where he allegedly returned a positive result to cannabis.
Checks on his vehicle revealed that all four tyres were bald.
The vehicle was defected and the driver a 41-year-old man from Woodville North issued with an expiation notice for $2018 for driving at excessive speed and issued with a six-month instant loss of licence.
He may face further charges pending the results of forensic analysis.
