Kensington Road crash

Police are investigating a crash at Rose Park this afternoon.

Just after 2pm Friday 12 April emergency services were called to Kensington Road, near Close Street, after reports a Nissan Navara that had been travelling east side swiped a Tesla that had been travelling west, then crashed head on into a Rav4 that had also been travelling west.

As a result of the crash the Navara veered off the road and crashed into tables outside a café. Thankfully there were no injuries to customers/staff at the café and the building was not impacted.

The driver of the white Nissan Navara, a 23-year-old Riverlea Park man, was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the blue Toyota Rav4, a 32-year-old Klemzig man, was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the Tesla, a 32-year-old Netherby man, was not injured and the car was driven away.

West bound lanes were closed while police cleared the scene but they have now been reopened. The Nissan and the Toyota were towed from the scene.
