A woman has been arrested after a stolen truck was recovered at Kadina this morning.

The 12-tonne Hino truck was stolen from a service station on Main North Road, Willaston about 3.30am on Saturday 4 May while the driver was inside the servo making a delivery.

It drove off westbound on Redbanks Road.  The driver's phone was still in the cab, and the truck was tracked as it headed north across the Adelaide Plains.

When the truck stopped at a service station at Kadina about 5.30am, police pounced on the female driver.

The 41-year-old woman was arrested and charged with illegal use.  She was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court on Monday.

The truck will be returned to the victim.
