A woman was arrested last night following investigations into a serious assault at Ridgehaven this week.
Just after 11pm Wednesday 5 August, police and emergency crews were called to a home in Ridgehaven after receiving reports a man had been stabbed nearby.
On arrival, a 33-year-old Dudley Park man was located with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Following investigations, a 30-year-old Ridgehaven woman, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault cause serious harm.
She was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.
This was not a random incident, the people involved are in a domestic relationship. Police warn they will not tolerate domestic violence and will take every action available to protect victims.
