Arrests after mismatched plates at Dry Creek

Police spotted the Holden Commodore in the car park of a licensed premises on Cavan Road, Dry Creek about 11.15pm on Thursday 6 August.

Officers noticed that the front and rear registration plates did not match.

When they questioned the driver and his passenger, they discovered they were both wanted for outstanding warrants, and they were arrested.

The 38-year-old man and a 34-year-old Hectorville woman were refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.

The driver was also reported for a number of traffic offences, including driving while disqualified, unregistered, uninsured and with unprescribed number plates, and unlawful possession.
