Man reported after bringing knife to Mount Gambier courthouse

About 1.30pm on Tuesday 18 August, police were called to the courthouse on Bay Road, Mount Gambier, after court sheriffs located a knife during routine security screening.

It will be alleged that a 40-year-old Mount Gambier man attended the courthouse, where staff identified a credit card-style knife concealed inside his wallet.

Police attended and spoke with the man before reporting him for carrying an offensive weapon.

The knife was seized and the man will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
