A man was arrested in Crafers after allegedly failing to stop for police in the city last night.

Police were called to a Prospect address about 10.20pm on Thursday 11 April in relation to a domestic incident.

A patrol located the suspect's vehicle and attempted to pull over the silver Holden station wagon, however the driver refused to stop.

PolAir was overhead and tracked the vehicle as it headed south through the city, then cut across the hills to Crafers.

At 11.10pm, police successfully spiked all four of the car's tyres, bringing the car to a stop in Waverley Ridge Road, just south of the Mount Lofty Summit Road roundabout.

The driver, a 42-year-old Victorian man, was arrested and charged with unlawfully on premises, fail to stop, speed dangerous and dangerous driving to escape police pursuit.

He was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene.

He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
