Man arrested for arson of West Croydon home

Just after 11.30pm, Tuesday 14 July, police and MFS crews were called to a house on Ellen Street following reports of a large fire.

Seven occupants of the property were evacuated safely with no reports of any injuries.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze which caused extensive damage to the house.

Crime Scene Investigators and Western District Detectives attended the scene.

Following their investigations, a 42-year-old man from West Croydon was arrested and charged with arson. He was refused police bail and will face the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday 16 July).
