Building fire in the CBD

About 8.15pm on Tuesday 23 April, emergency services were called to Waymouth Street after reports that a building on the corner of Grey Street was on fire.

Fire Crews brought the blaze under control quickly, but the premises was extensively damaged.

Police believe the fire may have been deliberately lit and are investigating. Fire cause investigators are attending the scene this morning to determine the cause.
