Lights are on but nobody's home at Gawler Belt

21 Apr 2024 7:08pm

A man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing after weapons and ammunition were found at Gawler Belt.

It will be alleged that at 5.27am on Sunday 21 April, police were called to a house on Redbanks Road after reports a white Nissan Navara utility was parked in the driveway with its headlights on.

Police attended and located three men at the house who were all under the influence of drugs.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a decommissioned handgun, a crossbow and cannabis. The three men were conveyed to Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment and are all in a stable condition.

A further search of a house in Kangaroo Flat resulted in insecure ammunition being located.

A 28-year-old Reynella man was arrested for an outstanding warrant and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.

The other two men, a 24-year-old Evanston man and a 22-year-old Kangaroo Flat man will be interviewed at a later date in relation to the items seized.
