Extreme speeder caught at Williamstown

A man has been reported for extreme speed and had his car impounded after being stopped at Williamstown on Friday.

Just after 4.30pm on Friday 12 April, police detected a red Mitsubishi Lancer sedan travelling at 182km/h in a 100km/h speed zone on Williamstown Road.

A 34-year-old Williamstown man was reported for extreme speed, and driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle. He was issued with an immediate loss of licence for 12 months and his vehicle impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in the Tanunda Magistrates Court at a later date.
