International Day of People with Disability

Saturday 3 December is the United Nations observed ‘International Day of People with Disability’ (IDPWD). This year’s theme is ‘Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world’.

Challenge the way you think about disability and help grow a more inclusive Australia and Neighbourhood Watch program!

People with disabilities can have very different perceptions around personal safety and the fear of crime, so by making Neighbourhood Watch more inclusive of them, we can gain a better insight into diverse community concerns and then work together to find solutions to them.
