Driver arrested at Bowden

Just after 12.15am on Thursday 30 July, police attended Greenhill Road after reports of a Holden sedan travelling at high speed.

As patrols approached the intersection of Peacock Road and Greenhill Road, officers saw the Holden travelling west through the intersection at an estimated speed of 150 km/h.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle however did not engage in a pursuit due to the safety concerns.

About 15 minutes later the Holden was located abandoned in Park Terrace, Bowden.

Dog Operations Unit officers attended and conducted a search of the area locating a suspect in possession of the vehicles keys.

The 24-year-old Bowden man, was arrested and charged with driving offences and possession of a knife.

He was granted bail to attend the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
