Police investigate assault at Noarlunga Centre

Just after 9pm on 13 August, police were called to a shopping centre car park on Burgess Drive after a man approached two other men and struck one with a machete.

A 37-year-old man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated by SA Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital.

The offender fled the scene in a vehicle which was located at Port Noarlunga about an hour later. Police searched the area and found the man in a yard on Irvine Street.

A 27-year-old man from Hackham West was arrested and charged with assault causing harm and driving unlicenced. He was refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.
