Drug drivers detected Murray Mallee

About 10.15am on Tuesday 11 August, Police reported a 29-year-old man from Wellington East after he was stopped on Langhorne Creek Road at Wellington. It will be alleged that he provided a positive result to cocaine. He was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence, and an expiation notice for speeding.

Just after 2pm on Tuesday, police stopped a Holden ute on Swanport Road and submitted the driver to a drug test. A 26-year-old man from Murray Bridge allegedly returned a positive result to cannabis. He was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence.

About 3.50pm on Tuesday, police stopped a Holden SUV on Weigall Avenue, Murray Bridge and submitted the driver to a drug test. A 41-year-old man from Murray Bridge allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine. He was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence.

A 61-year-old man from Somerton Park was reported for driving disqualified after he was stopped on Murraylands Road, Blanchetown about 12.30pm on Wednesday 12 August. The man also allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine.

A 53-year-old from Blanchetown was arrested on an outstanding warrant after he was topped on the Sturt Highway, Blanchetown just after 5.30pm on Wednesday. The man was found to be unlicenced also allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine.

Police stopped a Nissan ute on Fifteenth Street, Renmark just after midnight on Thursday 13 August. The driver, a 54-year-old man from Renmark West, allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine.

All drivers may face drug driving charges pending results of a forensic analysis.
