Suspect sought after deception in the southern suburbs

Police are seeking the assistance from the public to identify a suspect in a deception investigation from earlier this month.

Just before 5pm on Friday 3 July, a woman was allegedly deceived into handing over cash to the man pictured on Belair Road in Hawthorn.

The man is described as being of Indian appearance, with an accent, in his 30s, with stubble and short dark hair. He was wearing a white and blue zipper jacket, off-white-coloured pants and dark shoes.
