Break-in and car theft at Owen

Police are investigating a break-in at Owen where two cars were stolen and later seen driving dangerously in the Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

About 12pm on Thursday 13 August, access was gained to property on Old Mallala Road and two cars, a Holden sedan and a Nissan utility were stolen.

Between 6.30pm and 7pm on Thursday evening, both stolen cars were seen travelling south on Port Wakefield Highway through Riverlea, where they were being driven dangerously and overtaking each other.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the vehicles, or who has dashcam footage of either vehicle travelling in the area at the time, to contact police.

The stolen Holden Commodore has since been recovered on Lower North East Road at Paradise.

The grey Nissan Navara, registration S694CKX, remains outstanding.
