An Ardrossan man has had his motorcycle impounded after being stopped by police.
About 4pm on Monday 6 July, police stopped a Yamaha motorcycle on Dinham Drive for the purpose of a driver test.
When police inspected the motorcycle, it will be alleged the registration plate was unassigned and that the motorcycle registration was expired by more than 12 months.
It will further be alleged the rider a 26-year-old local man was disqualified from driving and riding a motor vehicle and returned a positive drug test to cannabis.
The man was issued a driver direction notice and he may be issued a fine pending results of a forensic analysis.
The false number plate was seized and the motorcycle impounded for 28 days.
