Suspect sought after Robbery at Clearview

Police are investigating a robbery at a service station in Clearview last week.

About 11.30am on Friday 19 June, a man entered a service station on Hampstead Road wearing a bicycle helmet.

The man approached a staff member and produced a large kitchen knife and demanded cash from the register. No physical threats were made and the employee was not injured.

The suspect took an amount of cash before leaving the store.

As he exited, the man confronted a customer entering the premises however the victim ran from the store and no cash was taken. He was not physically threatened or injured.

The suspect was last seen riding a bicycle from the service station onto Ormond Avenue and then heading north on Somerset Avenue.

Crime Scene Investigators attended and examined the scene.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man with a medium build, with a brown close-shaven beard. He was wearing a black bicycle helmet over a black baseball cap, a black jumper, dark blue jeans and black sneakers.
