Boy stopped driving at Port Lincoln

A boy has been reported after he was caught driving in Port Lincoln last week.

On Thursday 18 June police spotted a Subaru SUV on Verran Terrace, being driven by what appeared to be a child.

Patrols stopped the vehicle and discovered the driver and passenger were two 13-year-old boys.

The vehicle was not stolen. The driver had been given permission to use the car by a family member who was teaching the boy to drive.

The driver a 13-year-old boy from Port Lincoln was reported for drive unlicenced.

The family member a 66-year-old man from Port Augusta West was reported for aid and abet drive unlicensed.

They may be summoned to attend court at a later date.
