A woman has been fined after she was caught travelling 65km/h over the speed limit at Pimba today.
About 12pm on Monday 13 July, Far North Highway Patrols were conducting speed detection duties on the Stuart Highway, about 1km south of Pimba when a sedan was detected travelling at 175km/h in a 110km/h speed zone.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as an overseas visitor.
A 23-year-old woman was issued an expiation notice totalling $2126 and 9 demerit points. She was also issued with a six-month instant loss of licence.
