Traffic offenders reported Murray Mallee

Three men will face court after being reported for traffic offences in the Murray Mallee region over the weekend.

About 5pm on Friday 10 July, Murray Bridge Police stopped a man driving on Mannum Road. Police will allege he was driving a vehicle without the mandatory alcohol interlocking system fitted which he was required to comply with.

A 37-year-old man from Murray Bridge was reported for this offence and will be summoned to appear in Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.

At 4pm on Saturday 11 July, Murray Bridge Police responded to reports of a red Holden sedan with no registration plates doing burn outs on Lorikeet Avenue.

Police located the vehicle in a nearby address with checks revealing it was unregistered and uninsured. The alleged driver, a 40-year-old man from Murray Bridge, was also unlicenced.

The man was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle, driving without number plates, driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle and driving unlicenced. The vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he will be summoned to appear in Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.

About 4.45pm on Saturday, Loxton police reported a 38-year-old man from Berri after he was seen driving along Derrick Street. Checks on the man’s licence revealed he was currently disqualified from driving. He will be summoned to appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
