A woman and man will face court after police allegedly located methamphetamine during a traffic stop at Cultana.

About 5.50pm on Thursday 8 October, Eyre Western Highway Patrols stopped a Ford Ranger on Lincoln Highway after it was detected travelling at 124km/h in a 110km/h zone.

Police will allege the driver, a 35-year-old woman from Hackham West was driving while disqualified and returned a positive roadside drug test for methamphetamine.

A search of the driver and her 41-year-old passenger, a man also from Hackham West, allegedly located 41 bags of suspected methamphetamine and evidence of drug dealing.

The driver was reported for speeding, drug driving and driving while disqualified. Both occupants were reported for trafficking in methamphetamine. The driver’s drug sample will be sent for further analysis by Forensic SA.

Both will be summonsed to appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.

The Ford Ranger was impounded for 28 days.
