Man arrested for drug offences at Christies Beach

A man has been charged for drug offences at a Christies Beach home this morning.

About 10.45am on Thursday 8 October, police attended a Galloway Road address in Christies Beach in relation to an unrelated matter. While at the property, police observed drug-related items in the home and subsequently conducted a search.

During the search, police located approximately 4.2 grams of methamphetamine, along with resealable plastic bags, scales and drug paraphernalia.

Police also discovered seven cannabis plants, as well as equipment used for the cultivation of cannabis and evidence of electricity diversion at the property.

All items were seized for further investigation.

A 47-year-old Christies Beach man was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug, cultivating cannabis, possessing prescribed equipment and diverting electricity.

The man was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
