09 Jul 2026 4:47pm

A man will face court after performing a burnout in front of an off-duty police officer yesterday morning

About 8.30am on Wednesday 8 July, an off-duty police officer, saw the driver of a Holden sedan perform a large burnout at the intersection of Montague Road and Bridge Road, Pooraka. Visibility for the surrounding traffic was significantly reduced by the smoke created.

Police later located the driver of the car, a 31-year-old Ingle Farm man who was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle.

The man's Holden was defected and impounded for 28 days, and he will appear at the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a future date.
