Drink driver stopped at Morphett Vale

A man has lost his car and licence after he was stopped drink driving by police.

About 1am today Tuesday 22 September, police stopped a Mazda sedan travelling on Doctors Road for the purpose of a driver test.

Police will allege the driver a 25-year-old man from Hackham returned a positive result of 0.159- nearly four times the legal limit.

The driver was reported for drink driving, issued a 12-month instant loss of licence notice, issued with an expiation notice for driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle and the car was impounded for 28 days.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
