Drink driver speeding at Mount Osmond

Police detected a vehicle travelling at 74 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Mount Osmond Road, Mount Osmond at 12.30am on Tuesday 29 September.  The vehicle was also straddling lanes.

The driver, a 33-year-old Mount Osmond man, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.081.

He was arrested and charged with drink driving, speeding and fail to drive within marked lanes.  He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

He was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence, and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
