Drink driver crashes at North Haven

A man has been arrested for drink driving after crashing at North Haven last night.

Just before 10pm on Tuesday 16 June, police were called to the corner of Military Road and Hutley Road after a Toyota Hilux crashed into the front yard of a home.

The ute ended up wedged between a stobie pole and a tree but luckily, the driver escaped without injury.

He was breath tested and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.178.

A 33-year-old man from North Haven was arrested for drink driving and driving without due care. His car was impounded and he was issued with a twelve month instant loss of licence.

He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 15 July.
