Drink driver crashes at Glenelg

Just after 12.30am Sunday 12 July, emergency services were called to the intersection of Jetty Road and Brighton Road where a Toyota Corolla crashed into the back of a Toyota Rav 4 causing it to crash into the rear of a Toyota Camry.

The driver and passenger of the Rav 4 were taken to hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the Corolla, a 23-year-old man from Morphett Vale provided a positive roadside breath test where it will be alleged he returned a reading of 0.131 nearly three times the legal limit.

He has been reported for drink driving, aggravated due care. His vehicle was impounded and he was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence. He will appear in court at a later date.
