20 Aug 2026 6:53am

A man has lost his car and licence after he was caught drink driving.

About 11.50pm on Wednesday 20 August, police spotted a Holden utility on Cliff Street.

Police stopped the car and submitted the driver a 47-year-old man from Glengowrie to a breath test which police will allege returned a positive result of 0.144.

Checks on the Ute showed the registration was also expired.

The driver was expiated for driving an unregistered motor vehicle, reported for drink driving, issued a six-month instant loss of licence notice and the car was impounded for 28 days.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
