A drink driver has been caught more than four times the legal limit at Whyalla Stuart.

About 4.30pm on Friday 12 June, police spotted a Ford sedan on Flinders Avenue which travelled onto the wrong side of road almost crashing into the unmarked police car.

Police stopped the Ford and submitted the driver a 33-year-old woman from Yalata to a driver test where it will be alleged she returned a positive result of 0.205.

The driver was reported for drink driving, breach of learner's permit, issued a 12-month instant loss of licence notice and her car was impounded for 28-days.

She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
