13 Jun 2026 8:38am

Police have reported a drink driver over four times the limit in the Barossa LSA early this morning.

About 4.40 am, Saturday 13 June, police attended Main North Road at Willaston after reports a driver was asleep at the wheel.

Police spoke with the 19-year-old man from Willaston and submitted him to a breath test which allegedly returned a positive result of 0.210, over four times the legal limit.

The Holden sedan also had no registration plates and further checks revealed the vehicle was unregistered, and the driver disqualified from holding a licence.

He was reported for drink driving, driving without a licence, driving an unregistered vehicle and issued a 12 month loss of licence. His car was impounded for 28-days.

He will be summonsed to appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
