A disqualified driver was arrested and his car impounded at Klemzig yesterday.
About 3pm on Wednesday 1 July, police observed a BMW sedan speeding past a Klemzig school. The BMW then took a speed hump at speed and became airborne before it was seen to fish-tail across the road.
It continued driving dangerously through Klemzig and Windsor Gardens before the BMW was stopped on McLauchlan Road.
On speaking with the driver, it was found he was disqualified from driving. He was submitted to a drug test and allegedly returned a positive result.
A 44-year-old man from Klemzig was arrested for driving in a dangerous manner, driving while disqualified and drug driving. His vehicle was defected for numerous faults and was impounded for 28 days. He was refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
