Man arrested with knife Edwardstown

23 Jul 2026 11:57am

Southern District police arrested a man after he was found in possession of a knife at Edwardstown.

Just after midnight on Wednesday 22 July, Netley patrols stopped a man riding a bicycle within the Castle Plaza shopping centre precinct.

Officers intended to conduct a metal detector wand search when the man voluntarily handed over a hunting knife.

As a result, a 63-year-old man from Melrose Park was arrested and charged with carrying an offensive weapon in a public precinct. The man was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 10 September.
