Drink driver crashes at Macclesfield

About 12.45am on Thursday 23 July, emergency services responded to a single vehicle crash on Bugle Range Road.

A Ford hatchback had left the road and crashed through fences before hitting a tree. Luckily, the driver narrowly missed a stobie pole and didn’t sustain any injuries.

He was breath tested and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.237.

A 26-year-old man from Mount Barker was reported for drink driving, driving without due care and issued with a twelve-month instant loss of licence. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
