Man arrested at Kurralta Park

15 Jun 2026 2:13pm

A man has been arrested after lighting fires at Kurralta Park earlier today.

Just before noon on Monday 15 June, police were called to Tennyson Street after a man was seen acting erratically and setting fire to wheelie bins.

When police arrived, they found two wheelie bins had been set alight along with a large palm tree.

MFS responded and extinguished the blaze and prevented it from spreading to any nearby homes.

Patrols located the suspect still in the area.

A 41-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with three counts of property damage and disorderly behaviour. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 4 August.
