Three people have been arrested after stealing cat food from numerous service stations in the northern suburbs.

It will be alleged that about 3.30pm on Saturday 13 April, police were called to a service station on Philip Highway after reports that three youths had entered the store and stole boxes of cat food.

Officers located the trio soon after and arrested them. Further investigations found the teenagers were wanted for multiple other thefts of a similar nature.

Two Elizabeth North boys, aged 17 and 13 and a 14-year-old Brahma Lodge boy were charged with theft.

The Elizabeth North boys were refused bail and will appear in court on Monday, while the other youth was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
